Tonna is proud to be family owned and operated for over 40 years. We are GROWING! We are currently looking for a Project Manager & Estimator.

Essential job duties:

The Project Manager is responsible for a wide variety of tasks related to small and large projects, including managing and estimating mid-to-long term project details and day-to-day site operations. The manager will coordinate efficient planning, organizing and scheduling of the following elements: labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, supplies, tools, budgets & invoicing on commercial projects that range in size from $10,000 to over $1,000,000.

 

  • Coordinate and supervise construction projects from inception to completion
  • Interact with owners and general contractors to develop strong business relationships
  • Schedule and coordinate with suppliers
  • Deliver projects according to client needs and budget
  • Manage project team, including field foreman
  • Report on variances and make adjustments as needed
  • Project billing and forecasting
  • Attend weekly meetings on site
  • Prepare change order proposals
  • Release and schedule equipment deliveries
  • Responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client’s documents and providing complete conceptual and total bid price
  • Reviewing and evaluating RFQs, RFPs and Bid Documents Developing RFIs for inconsistencies and missing information in the contract documents
  • Reviewing estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy
  • Reviewing construction documents and understanding scope of work to bid
  • Obtaining pricing for materials
  • Obtaining bids and verifying scope from subcontractors
  • Developing and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.

 

Minimum requirements:

  •   Mechanical and building aptitude required
  •   Experience in the HVAC field preferred but not required
  •   2 year Degree or diploma
  •   Minimum 5 years of experience
  •   Valid Drivers License
  •   Excellent problem-solving skills.
  •   Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
  •   Ability to communicate effectively
  •   Proficient in use of computer programs and technology related to the position
